How Did We Start?
Kutupayisi was founded in 2003, transforming beloved outdoor activities and nature sports into a business idea. It began as a venture in the attic of a home, driven by the passion of a young enthusiast to continue his love for nature sports in his work.
During those days, the country’s interest in nature sports was just emerging. Ismail Aydoğan, starting under the brand “Salewa,” later expanded to become the distributor for many other nature sports brands in Turkey. With dedication and hard work, he significantly contributed to the development of the outdoor equipment sector in Turkey and grew Kutupayisi. Starting solo in commerce, this young entrepreneur built enduring friendships with many brands, steadily expanding their distribution nationwide with a dynamic team. What began as an amateur adventure evolved into a professional endeavor today.
Today, Kutupayisi stands as one of the leading firms in its field, distinguished by its innovative adaptability to sectoral developments.
In 2023, as we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we, the Kutupayisi team, have taken up the beautiful and meaningful legacy left by our founder, who departed from us at a young age. We are committed to realizing his dreams and continuing to grow day by day.

At Kutupayisi, we represent high-quality global brands that meet world standards and distribute them nationwide in Turkey. With over 20 years of distribution and import experience, we continue to grow with more than 10,000 sales points across 80 provinces and over 200 product varieties.

We promote and market the best and highest-quality brands in our country with a professional perspective and local approaches. Collaborating with experienced and award-winning agencies, we develop and implement new ideas.

Since 2017, as the first and only member in Turkey of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA), we actively participate in international platforms on nature and environmental issues. Through EOCA membership, we contribute to the sustainability of natural habitats and outdoor activities. We aim to further advance in sustainability and environmental awareness, setting an example for society. In this direction, we will continue our commitment to leaving a livable world for future generations and constantly strive to minimize our environmental impact.
